CVE-2026-43415

Kernel panic via uncancelled UFS RTC work

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Race condition in the Linux kernel UFS core allows local users to crash the system by triggering a UFS suspend operation. __ufshcd_wl_suspend() cancels delayed RTC work only after the vendor suspend callback, so ufshcd_rtc_work() can call ufshcd_update_rtc() while clocks are being gated. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, precise race timing, UFS hardware, and no UFS clock-gating capability; the documented consequence is a kernel panic and service interruption.
