CVE-2026-43414

Privileged kernel memory corruption via fcport double free

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Double free in the Linux kernel qla2xxx driver allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through the issue_logo sysfs handler. In qla24xx_els_dcmd_iocb(), kref_put() invokes qla2x00_els_dcmd_sp_free() on the last reference, but the error path then frees the same fcport again. The path requires CAP_SYS_ADMIN in the initial user namespace; successful triggering can crash the host or corrupt kernel memory.
