Stored XSS via decoded entity payloads
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Etoile Web Design Ultimate FAQ Accordion Plugin 2.4.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. set_display_variables() decodes entity-encoded post_content, and faq-answer.php emits the result without an HTML allowlist. Author-level access is required; the script runs in a visitor's browser when an injected FAQ page or shortcode output is opened.
