CVE-2026-43280

Kernel-memory disclosure via unchecked DRM pat_index

Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Linux Kernel 6.18 through 6.18.15 and 6.19 through 6.19.5 allows local users to read kernel memory via a DRM ioctl. madvise_args_are_sane() passes an unchecked pat_index to xe_pat_index_get_coh_mode(), which indexes xe->pat.table before bounds validation. Low local privileges and access to the DRM node are required; the record identifies kernel-memory disclosure and availability loss but does not specify its failure mode.
