Authenticated internal service access via unvalidated demo_file URL
Published Jun 19, 2026 · Updated Jun 19, 2026
Server-side request forgery in AddonsPress Advanced Import 1.4.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to query internal services. The demo_download_and_unzip() AJAX handler passes the POST demo_file value, after only text sanitization, directly to wp_remote_get() without rejecting internal or private destinations. Author-level access with the upload_files capability is required, and the resulting server-originated requests expose responses from internal services, including cloud metadata endpoints.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
