Authenticated plugin installation via nonterminating capability check
Published Apr 9, 2026 · Updated Apr 9, 2026
Missing authorization in Webilia Vertex Addons for Elementor 1.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to install and activate plugins. The activate_required_plugins() handler records a failed install_plugins capability check but continues installation and activation before returning the error. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, allowing a low-privileged account to change site behavior through unauthorized active plugins.
