CVE-2026-43242

Local denial of service via MMIO regmap leak

Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026

Resource leakage in the Linux kernel TI K3 SoC driver allows local users to exhaust memory through failed probes or driver unbinding. k3_chipinfo_probe() calls regmap_init_mmio() without device-managed cleanup, so its allocated regmap survives probe errors and unbinding. Reachability requires a Linux system using the TI K3 SoC driver and low-privilege local access; the supported consequence is availability loss without data access or modification.
