CVE-2026-4324Network attack vector

Authenticated disruption and disclosure via sort parameter injection

Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026

SQL injection in the Katello plugin for Red Hat Satellite allows remote authenticated users to disrupt service or disclose database data. The /api/hosts/bootc_images endpoint inserts the user-controlled sort_by value into a database query's ORDER clause without adequate sanitization. A low-privileged account that can call the endpoint can force database errors or use Boolean-based blind queries to infer sensitive values; the underlying framework blocks some complex queries.
