CVE-2026-43232Network attack vector

Kernel memory corruption via unfinished tasklets

Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026

Use-after-free in the Linux Kernel FarSync WAN driver allows remote attackers to corrupt kernel memory or crash the kernel during card detachment. fst_remove_one() frees fst_card_info without first killing the pending fst_tx_task and fst_int_task tasklets, which later dereference the released object in fst_process_tx_work_q() or fst_process_int_work_q(). A remote peer can keep tasklet work pending with WAN traffic, but an administrator must detach, unbind, hot-unplug, or unload the FarSync device to reach the stale access.
