Administrator token theft via stored form scripts
Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026
Stored XSS in C&F AdaptiveGRC releases before December 2025 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser. Text fields across forms accept attacker-replaced values in HTTP POST requests, and server-side validation stores them without neutralizing executable script. When a privileged user views a stored value, the script can capture the administrator authentication token and perform actions with administrative privileges.
