Local service interruption via mismatched QMI length
Published May 6, 2026 · Updated May 6, 2026
Denial of service in Linux kernel 6.11 and later before fixed stable releases allows local users to interrupt service on Qualcomm systems. The servreg_loc_pfr_req_ei descriptor declares an 81-byte reason element while servreg_loc_pfr_req accepts 65 bytes, so QMI decoding rejects the crash notification. Low-privileged local access and a Qualcomm protection-domain crash are required; the documented consequence is availability loss without data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
