Unauthenticated settings changes via access-control bypass
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Missing authorization in NEC Platforms Aterm firmware allows remote attackers on the LAN to read device data and change settings. NEC identifies an access-control bypass but has not published the affected request handler or the authorization check omitted during device-information and configuration operations. Access requires LAN-side network reachability, needs no product credentials or user interaction, and can expose device-specific data or alter configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
