Kernel panic and use-after-free via pending-command mishandling
Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Kernel Bluetooth MGMT command handlers allows local users to crash the kernel through local commands. mgmt_add_adv_patterns_monitor_complete performs a second list deletion after mgmt_pending_valid has unlinked the command, while set_mesh_complete can free unrelated pending mesh commands still being processed. The issue requires local low-privileged access and a Bluetooth MGMT completion path; reported outcomes are kernel panic or memory corruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
