CVE-2026-42975

Code execution via Bluetooth heap overflow

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in the Windows Bluetooth Port Driver allows physically proximate attackers to execute code after user interaction. Microsoft identifies a crafted Bluetooth configuration request as the trigger but does not disclose the driver routine or erroneous memory operation. Exploitation requires Bluetooth to be enabled and the device to be discoverable, which is not the default Windows configuration.
