CVE-2026-4295

Code execution via workspace trust bypass

Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026

Improper trust boundary enforcement in Amazon Web Services Kiro IDE before 0.8.0 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted project files. Workspace opening processes attacker-controlled directory files as trusted content despite workspace trust protections; AWS has not disclosed the specific file type, parser, or execution path. Exploitation requires a local user to open the malicious directory, after which injected code runs with the user's Kiro IDE privileges on macOS, Windows, or Linux.
