CVE-2026-42869Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated administrator access via hardcoded JWT secret

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Authentication bypass in SOCFortress CoPilot before 0.1.57 allows remote attackers to forge administrator JWTs with a public secret. AuthHandler reads JWT_SECRET with a fixed fallback and accepts HS256 tokens when the signature matches and the subject names the seeded admin account. The condition is reachable when JWT_SECRET is unset or retains the published default; forged admin scope exposes CoPilot data and integrated security-tool control.
