CVE-2026-42866Public exploit

Arbitrary file overwrite via unsanitized usernames

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Path traversal in Alfredredbird Tookie-OSINT 4.1 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to overwrite user-writable files via crafted names. The write_txt, write_csv, write_json, and scan_file helpers interpolate an unsanitized -u value or -U file entry into an output pathname before opening it. Exploitation requires a user to run the local CLI with the crafted input, and writes remain limited to .txt, .csv, or .json paths writable by that process.
