CVE-2026-42846Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unescaped Remote Play URL

Published Jun 11, 2026 · Updated Jun 11, 2026

OS command injection in ClipBucket V5 before 5.5.3 - #140 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via Remote Play URLs. The get_file_info method passes the unescaped external URL into ffprobe and mediainfo command strings that System::shell_output executes through shell_exec, so shell metacharacters become commands. A self-registered account with the default allow_video_upload permission is sufficient, and successful exploitation runs operating-system commands with the ClipBucket application process's privileges.
