CVE-2026-42800Network attack vector

Service interruption via post-check NULL dereference

Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in ASR Lapwing_Linux ims_client before 1.225.003 allows attackers to interrupt service over a network. The SIP URI code in sip/utils/src/sipuri.c dereferences a pointer after a null check, but ASR has not disclosed the triggering input or call path. ASR's assessment requires low privileges, while NVD rates the path unauthenticated; neither source identifies a more specific operational outcome.
