CVE-2026-42799Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via out-of-bounds firmware read

Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in ASR Kestrel nr_fw before 2026/02/10 allows remote authenticated users to access memory beyond a buffer. NrPwrCtrl.c in the modem firmware performs a read outside the intended buffer, but ASR has not disclosed the input or index that reaches it. Network access with low privileges is required; the published assessment limits the resulting confidentiality, integrity, and availability effects to low impact.
