CVE-2026-42797Network attack vector

Administrator-only disclosure via incomplete JEXL field blocklist

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Information disclosure in Apache Syncope 3.0 through 3.0.16, 4.0 through 4.0.5, and 4.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive data. JexlContextBuilder uses an incomplete field blocklist when building the evaluation context, exposing password history, security answers, MFA data, and tokens to a crafted Derived Schema expression. Creating the expression requires Derived Schema entitlements, while retrieving the exposed values requires User-read entitlements; the reported consequence is read-only.
