Unauthenticated host command execution via Bluetooth
Published Apr 5, 2026 · Updated Apr 5, 2026
Missing authentication in Honeywell Barcode Scanner base-station firmware allows remote attackers to execute host commands over Bluetooth. Honeywell has not disclosed which base-station interface accepts the Bluetooth request or how it converts that request into host system commands. Exploitation requires Bluetooth proximity and user interaction, but no authentication, and permits command execution on the connected host without reported availability impact.
