Admin-session script execution via unescaped IP field
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Stored XSS in wp.insider Simple Membership 4.7.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The reports menu renders a recorded visitor IP address without output escaping, allowing attacker-controlled content to enter the page's HTML context. Exploitation requires a privileged user to view the affected report; the resulting script runs only in that user's browser session.
