Authenticated secret disclosure via exposed Twig services
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Grav before 2.0.0-beta.2 allows remote authenticated users to read password hashes and the security salt. Sandboxed Twig templates can access grav['accounts'] to load administrative user objects, while the exposed Config tree returns security.salt. A Content Editor with only pages.update permission and Process Twig enabled can publish the secrets for offline password attacks.
