Authenticated code execution via upload path traversal
Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026
Path traversal in AzuraCast before 0.23.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted media upload path. FlowUploadAction prepends the unsanitized currentDirectory value after filename filtering, and MediaProcessor's finally block uploads even rejected files. A DJ or station manager with media permission can exploit the default local-storage backend to place a PHP webshell outside the media root and run commands as the application user.
