CVE-2026-42568Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account impersonation via unescaped LDAP username

Published Jun 10, 2026 · Updated Jun 10, 2026

LDAP injection in Space Applications Services Yamcs before 5.12.7 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate an LDAP account. LdapAuthModule replaces the {0} placeholder in its LDAP search filter with the username without RFC 4515 escaping, so wildcard input changes the query. Exploitation requires LDAP authentication and one valid password; username=* returns the first directory user sharing that password, exposing that account's access.
