Unauthorized tool invocation via unchecked Host header
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Origin validation error in RMCP before 1.4.0 allows remote attackers to invoke local MCP tools through DNS rebinding. The Streamable HTTP server transport accepts requests without checking whether the Host header matches an approved authority. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious website while an affected HTTP transport is reachable; exposed tools can read resources or trigger actions with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
