CVE-2026-42549Public exploit

Arbitrary directory creation via CLI path traversal

Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026

Path traversal in Flight before 3.18.1 allows local users to create arbitrary directories outside the project root through its CLI. The make:controller command passes a path derived from the controller name to recursive mkdir before Nette validates the resulting class name. Exploitation requires permission to run the Flight CLI and can alter the directory structure accessible to that process, while the subsequent class-file write is rejected.
