CVE-2026-42546

Service interruption via shared-memory reference leak

Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026

Resource leak in OP-TEE OS 3.3.0 through 4.10.0 allows local users to exhaust the secure-world heap and interrupt trusted services. cleanup_shm_refs() compares unmasked parameter attributes, misses the non-contiguous-memory case, and skips mobj_put(), leaving mobj_reg_shm references on internal lists. Exploitation requires a local normal-world caller and a non-FF-A configuration supporting non-contiguous non-secure shared memory; repeated leaks eventually require a reboot.
