Process crash via unbounded UFS directory recursion
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Uncontrolled recursion in NanaZip 5.0.1250.0 and later, before 6.0.1698.0, allows attackers to crash the process via a crafted UFS image. GetAllPaths in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.Ufs.cpp recursively follows directory entries without a depth limit or visited-inode tracking. Exploitation requires a user to open an untrusted UFS, UFS2, or IMG file and causes process termination without memory corruption or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
