CVE-2026-42368Network attack vector

Guest-to-Administrator escalation via role-blind CGI authorization

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Incorrect privilege assignment in GeoVision GV-LPC2011/LPC2211 1.10 allows remote authenticated users to gain Administrator access. The /geo-cgi/ request handler validates a session cookie but does not verify whether the session belongs to an Administrator rather than a Guest. Guest access therefore reaches administrative endpoints that disclose credentials, alter camera settings or firmware, and reboot the device.
