CVE-2026-42353Public exploitNetwork attack vector

File read or SSRF via unsanitized identifiers

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Path traversal and SSRF in i18next-http-middleware before 3.9.3 allow remote attackers to read files or reach internal services. The getResourcesHandler function passes unvalidated lng and ns values into backendConnector.load, where filesystem or HTTP backends interpolate them into paths or URLs. Exploitation requires the application to expose this handler with a path-interpolating backend; resulting access is limited to files readable by the process or network destinations reachable from it.
