Credential leakage via slash-consuming path placeholder matching
Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026
Credential exposure in Quarkiverse Quarkus OpenAPI Generator before 2.11.1-lts, 2.16.0-lts, or 2.17.0 allows attackers to receive credentials. The runtime authentication path matcher turns each path placeholder into a greedy wildcard, so one parameter consumes slashes and matches a different same-method operation. Reachability requires generated-client use with overlapping same-method paths; bearer tokens, API keys, or basic credentials then reach lower-trust endpoints.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
