CVE-2026-42312Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated TLS interception via unrestricted configuration write

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Improper authorization in pyLoad before 0.5.0b3.dev100 allows remote authenticated users to enable interception of outbound HTTPS traffic. The set_config_value() API omits general.ssl_verify from its admin-only allowlist, so a SETTINGS user can persist off and force pycurl to set SSL_VERIFYPEER and SSL_VERIFYHOST to zero. Exploitation requires non-admin SETTINGS permission and an on-path attacker; forged certificates can then expose or alter fetched content.
