CVE-2026-42303Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthorized record deletion via unchecked duplicate approval

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Authentication bypass in Ethyca Fides 2.75.0 through 2.83.1 allows remote attackers to trigger unverified privacy-request processing. The duplicate-detection path marks a second request for the same email address as duplicate, while approve_privacy_requests accepted that state without checking identity_verified_at and exposed approval in the Admin UI. Both identity verification and duplicate detection must be enabled, and an administrator must approve the request; an erasure policy then deletes the target's records across configured integrations.
