CVE-2026-42289Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator escalation via tokenless user permission updates

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in ChurchCRM before 7.3.2 allows remote attackers to grant administrator privileges through UserEditor.php. UserEditor.php reads attacker-controlled permission fields from POST data and writes them to the user record without generating or validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit an attacker-controlled page, after which an existing account gains full administrator access or a new administrator account is created.
