CVE-2026-42283

Pod command execution via permissive WebSocket origin check

Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026

Cross-site WebSocket hijacking in DevSpace before 6.3.21 allows remote attackers to execute pod commands through a local UI server. The UI server's WebSocket CheckOrigin logic accepts every origin, exposing /api/logs, /api/enter, and /api/command on 127.0.0.1:8090. Exploitation requires the UI to be running while a developer visits a malicious site; the attacker can stream pod logs, open a pod shell, or run predefined pipeline commands.
