Authenticated command execution via Wi-Fi parameter injection
Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026
Command injection in LB-LINK BL-WR9000 2.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands through /goform/set_wifi. The sub_458754 handler passes wlanpswencry or AuthMode through bs_SetWlanCfg to bl_set_2G_effect, where sprintf builds iwpriv commands that bl_do_system executes without validating shell metacharacters. An authenticated administrator session and a crafted Wi-Fi configuration request are required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the router's highest privileges.
