Authenticated file deletion via absolute path handling
Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026
Path traversal in SSCMS 7.0 through 7.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files via a crafted plugin path. The download action passes the JSON path value through PathUtils.RemoveParentPath and treats an absolute path as a deletion target outside the plugin workspace. An administrator bearer token is required; successful exploitation deletes a chosen file with the SSCMS service account's permissions.
