Open redirect via unchecked uenc destination
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Open redirect in OpenMage LTS before 20.18.0 allows remote attackers to redirect logged-in shoppers to external sites via crafted links. The Mage_ProductAlert_AddController::stockAction() method passes the raw uenc value to _redirectUrl() when product_id names no catalog product, without checking that the destination is internal. Product Alerts must be enabled, and a logged-in shopper must follow the link; the resulting 302 response can support credential phishing or malware delivery.
