Code execution via undersized DDS pixel buffer

Heap-based buffer overflow in GIMP on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7, and 8 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted DDS file. The DDS load_layer() path in ddsread.c allocates from the header bpp value but consumes D3D9 pixels at the format-derived stride, writing beyond the heap buffer. Exploitation requires GIMP to be installed and a user to open an untrusted DDS file; successful corruption runs code in that user context or crashes GIMP.
