Authenticated command execution via unsanitized Partner fields
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
OS command injection in django-pyas2 1.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary server commands. The Partner model's cmd_receive and cmd_send values reach os.system() in pyas2/utils.py without validation or shell escaping. Administrative access is required to set a crafted command, which runs with the server process's privileges when an AS2 message is received or sent.
