Unauthorized dataspace access via unchecked pending status
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
Incorrect authorization in sovity Data Space Portal 2.1.1 through 7.3.1 allows remote attackers to access APIs with pending accounts. The backend checks only role and organization membership for catalog and connector-registration requests, without verifying that the user account or organization is ACTIVE. Public self-registration and a session for the resulting PENDING account are sufficient to read the dataspace catalog and register a participating connector.
