CVE-2026-42048Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated directory deletion via unchecked bulk-delete paths

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Path traversal in Langflow OSS before 1.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server directories through the Knowledge Bases API. The delete_knowledge_bases_bulk function constructs paths from user-supplied kb_names and passes them to shutil.rmtree without verifying containment in the user's directory. Any authenticated account with endpoint access can erase directories writable by the Langflow process, including another user's knowledge bases, causing data loss or service interruption.
