Authenticated code execution via unsafe locale template paths
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Path traversal in GROWI 7.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute EJS templates when email is configured. Mail-generating routes and services concatenate the database-backed locale value into template paths without restricting it to supported locale directories. Administrative privileges are required; a crafted global language value can select an attacker-controlled EJS file and execute server-side code or commands.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
