Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via exposed HNAP handlers
Published Mar 15, 2026 · Updated Mar 15, 2026
Improper access control in D-Link DIR-823G 1.0.2B05 allows remote attackers to read router configuration through HNAP requests. The goahead binary exposes numerous Get-prefixed HNAP handlers without an authentication check and returns their configuration data to the caller. No authentication is required; the disclosed effect is exposure of network, firewall, DMZ, QoS, DDNS, device, and wireless settings.
