Authentication bypass via unescaped LDAP username
Published May 19, 2026 · Updated May 19, 2026
LDAP injection in Apache OFBiz before 24.09.06 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through crafted usernames. LdapAuthenticationServices inserts the supplied username into ldap.dn.template without RDN escaping, allowing LDAP metacharacters to alter the bind DN. The issue is reachable only when LDAP authentication and a DN template are configured; successful injection binds as an unintended directory identity.
