CVE-2026-41915

Repository tampering via unfiltered Git environment variables

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Environment variable injection in OpenClaw before 2026.4.8 allows local users to redirect host Git operations and alter repositories. The host exec environment denylist omits GIT_DIR and related Git plumbing variables, so child Git processes inherit attacker-controlled repository paths. Exploitation requires low-privileged local influence over the execution environment within the user-controlled assistant trust model; it does not establish a remote multi-tenant compromise.
