Authenticated access retention via omitted active check
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in CI4MS 0.26.0 through 0.31.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to retain backend access. Ci4MsAuthFilter omits the active-field check on each request, so an existing session remains authorized after its user is set to active=0. Exploitation requires a session created before an administrator deactivates the account; access persists until the session expires, 7,200 seconds by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
