Link following in JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA allows remote attackers to read arbitrary local files through the built-in web server. The server resolves attacker-influenced file requests without preventing a link from reaching an unintended local resource. Affected releases precede the listed 2024.3 through 2026.1 branch endpoints, and exploitation requires user interaction; no file modification or service interruption is reported.
